Employment Opportunities
Actors
Tipping Point Theatre is pleased to announce its General Auditions for its 2008-09 Season. Auditions are scheduled for Monday, April 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 29 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Auditions are by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling TPT at 248.347.0003 during Box Office hours or by emailing Christina Johnson at christina@tippingpointtheatre.org.

Auditioners are asked to prepare one contemporary monologue, no longer than three minutes in length. If auditioners would like to be considered for a musical, they should also prepare 16-measures of a song. A piano accompanist will be provided. Additionally, auditioners should bring 2 copies of a headshot and resume.

Contracts will be available for eight women and ten men, including two singing roles for women and two singing roles for men – all ages. Tipping Point Theatre operates under a SPT Tier 4 contract with the Actors’ Equity Association and hires non-Equity actors as well.

Apprenticeship Program
Now accepting resumes for a one-year apprenticeship program (2008-09 Season; beginning in August 2008).  Applicants must have college degree or be seeking a degree in theatre or a related field.  Position will be an integral part of theatre management team, artistic team and development team, while having a direct influence on the formation of a theatre company still in its infancy.  This is a fantastic learning opportunity for an energetic self-starter.  This comprehensive program will allow you to jump start your career, working hands-on with seasoned professionals in arts management and production; gaining invaluable contacts while developing your resume.  Apprentices will work as Assistant Stage Managers, Light and Sound Board Operators, Box Office Staff, House Management and more.  A weekly stipend of $225 will be offered to help offset living expenses.  Please send your resume and a letter of interest to: Tipping Point Theatre, Attn: Christina Johnson, 361 E.
